Trần Quang Hảï ist ein weltweit anerkannter Spezialist für Obertongesang und renommierter Ethnomusikologe vom Musée de l´Homme in Paris. Er entstammt einer traditionsreichen vietnamesischen Musikerfamilie. Der Maultrommel Dàn Moi wurde in Vietnam, wie im Alpenraum, beim Liebeswerben eine magische Wirkung zugeschrieben. Trần Quang Hảï entwickelte seine eigene Maultrommel, welche seinen Bedürfnissen nach einem hoch energiegeladenem Spiel entspricht. In Begleitung seiner Frau Bach Yen bietet der Multiinstrumentalist auf den verschiedensten Instrumenten einen tiefen Einblick in die traditionellen Lieder und Gesänge des Volkes – bis hin zu historischen und Zeitgenössischen Instrumentalwerken.
